Obituary

Robert L. "Rob" Paglia, 66, of Denver, passed away peacefully at his home in Denver on June 26, 2026. Born on October 20, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert was a son of the late Lawrence G. and Nancy D. Paglia.

Rob’s early education began at St. Anastasia School, where he was not only a student but a member of the parish, fostering a lifelong sense of faith and service to others. He later attended Marple Newtown High School and furthered his education by attaining college credits at Penn State University. After graduation, Rob explored many paths, working various jobs to gain life experience before embarking on an adventurous stint with the Merchant Marines. Yet it was in the lively kitchens that Rob found both his calling and his joy. Inspired by parents who were themselves great entertainers and cooks, Rob’s passion for cooking led him from entry-level roles as a prep and line cook to advanced management positions in several well-known restaurants. Outside his career, Rob was a man of many interests and unwavering loyalties. From a young age, he loved sports, excelling as a catcher on his little league teams and later attending major league games with family, remaining a steadfast fan of all Philadelphia professional and college teams through the years. Music, too, was central to Rob's life—he grew up in the era of iconic Rock, Blues, and Jazz, spending countless evenings at live shows or surrounded by friends, immersed in the sounds of favorite albums. Rob held tightly to his belief in kindness, shaped by his church and by the example of his parents. Throughout his life, Rob was guided by this spirit of generosity, always striving to help those less fortunate. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and humility—qualities that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Rob is survived by his brother William J. Paglia and his sister Janette Feldman.
