Margaret A. "M. Ann" Huck, 83, of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, following a brief stay in Skilled Care at Garden Spot Village.

Born on December 22, 1942, in Osage, Iowa, Ann was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Melba (Willhite) Ziegler.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James B. Huck, Sr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage, and by her companion of 6 years, Norman Collier.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, James B. Huck, Jr. and his wife, Traci, of Wyomissing; her daughter, Jennifer A. Franckowiak and her husband, Kevin, of Reading; her brother, Kenton R. Ziegler (wife, Bonnie), of Scottsdale, Arizona; her sisters, Jane L. Lear (husband, Erich), of Snohomish, Washington, Julie F. McCarty (husband, Tom), of Oakland, California; and sister-in-law, Joan Ferguson (husband, Leroy), of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Jordan Franckowiak, Taylor Snyder, and Brina Franckowiak (fiancé, Kenny); step-granddaughters, Starlene and Angela Williams; her great-grandchildren, Payton McKnight, and Dominic and Lincoln Rodriguez.

In the early years of their marriage, Ann and Jim developed a life long love of antiquing, having had stands at the Fairgrounds and Baumstown. From 1977 to 1994, Ann and Jim proudly owned and operated Lullaby Day Nursery School East in East Reading. Affectionately known as "Miss Ann," she touched the lives of countless children and families through her kindness, patience, and genuine love of caring for others. Many former students continued to remember her fondly long after their preschool years.

Following their retirement, Ann and Jim made their home in Muddy Creek, where they enjoyed many happy years surrounded by wonderful neighbors, lasting friendships, and memorable travels.

Ann was always true to her Midwest roots and her beloved Iowa. She loved to visit family, friends and loved ones. Ever the social butterfly, she looked forward to any kind of outings from class reunions, block parties, and weddings to family reunions and community picnics.

Ann later moved to Garden Spot Village in New Holland, where she embraced volunteering at the information desk and other Garden Spot programs. She found great joy in serving others and built great friendships.

Ann will be remembered for her warm smile, her sense of service toward others, chocolate, her sense of humor, overcoming breast cancer, chocolate, popcorn and cheese, game nights, pizza, (did we mention chocolate?), neighborhood gatherings and silly things like shooting spit balls at fancy restaurants and making beer can hats. Whether caring for young children, enjoying time with family and friends, traveling with Jim, or volunteering in her community, she lived a life centered on compassion and service to others.

Her family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from the staff of Skilled Care at Garden Spot Village during her final days.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00 a.m. at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA 17557. Ann's final resting place will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with her husband, James Sr.
