Obituary

Linda R. Hornberger, 81, of Stevens, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home. She was born on December 31, 1944, in Ephrata to the late Leroy M. & Miriam (Eshleman) Weaver. Married in March of 1991, Linda was the loving wife of Larry L. Hornberger until his passing in 2020.

Linda was a hardworking woman whose years of employment reflected both dedication and versatility. She worked as a housekeeper and cleaner, where she cleaned the Ephrata Post Office. Linda also spent time working for different manufacturing companies. She approached her work with steady commitment and brought that same energy into the rest of her life. She found great enjoyment in creativity and the satisfaction of making things by hand. Doll making and crochet were among her interests, and she enjoyed a wide variety of crafts. Linda liked to craft and was always getting into something, often picking up new skills very quickly. She also enjoyed watching karaoke at places like Mountain Top, a pastime that brought her simple pleasure and entertainment. Her family and friends will remember her for the industrious spirit she carried through her life and for the many ways she expressed herself.

Linda is survived by children, Karen Hartman of Denver, Doreen Redcay of Ephrata, Curtis Redcay (companion, Wanda Mumma) of Adamstown, and Tina Martzall (wife of Steve Martzall) of Denver; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gene, Lee, and Clyde Weaver.

Services will be private to the family.
