Justine A. Gauker, 87, passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 1, 1938, in West Leesport, Pennsylvania, Justine was the daughter of the late William P., and Kathryn I. (Bredbenner) Rickenbach, and the loving wife of the late Arlan E. Gauker for 68 years.
Justine was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, Class of 1956. Throughout her working years, Justine contributed greatly both outside and within her home. She served as a Sewing Machine Operator at C B Trimming in Reamstown, mastering her craft with dedication and skill. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for A.E. Gauker Electric in Denver, a family business that she supported loyally, helping sustain the work and dreams of those closest to her. Justine found great fulfillment in the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life. She had a passion for cooking and sewing—skills she lovingly shared with those around her. Many fond memories were made during treasured times spent at the beach house in Lewes, Delaware, where laughter and togetherness abounded. Her kindness and care were radiant; her home always filled with warmth. Faith remained an important cornerstone for Justine. She was a regular attendee of Gehman Mennonite Church in Reinholds and formerly, Crossroads Community Church in Lewes, Delaware. Her faith community was vital to her, grounding her with hope and purpose through life’s many seasons. Justine’s life was one of compassion, devotion, and quiet grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Justine is survived by two daughters: Donna E. (Jeff) Carvell of Reamstown and Debra A. (Tom) English of Lititz. Justine was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren—Bryan, Leanne, Todd, Scott, and Erin—and a great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. at Gehman Mennonite Church, 127 Witmer Road, Reinholds, PA 17569. Justine’s final resting place will be at Leesport Cemetery.
