Obituary

John D. Ceresini, 79, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026. Born in Lebanon, John was raised by his grandparents, George and Jenny Ceresini. He was the devoted husband to Julia M. (Fidler) Ceresini for 52 years until her passing in 2021.

John graduated from Cedar Crest High School, class of 1964. Proud to serve his country, John was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Airborne and first calvary 75th Rangers, receiving the bronze and silver star and two purple hearts. He served in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. John worked in the field of security his entire life. He was a Security Specialist working in Armor Car services, night security on college campuses, car lots, banks, and shopping centers as well as private investigations and cash carrying travel and valuables. He was a collector of bladed weapons, having a vase array of swords from around the world. John taught martial arts for over 22 years, he was the founder of Ceresini and sons Karate studio in Akron and Ephrata. He also enjoyed camping and shooting and taught his sons about weaponry. John loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always independent and determined. His favorite saying was “Ceresinis do not quit”!

John is survived by two sons, Curtis M. (Sheila) Ceresini of Ephrata and Devon M. (Laura) Ceresini of Levittown; six grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. In addition to his wife, John was predeceased by a grandson, David C. Ceresini.

Services will be held on SAT., AUG.15th at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens). VISITATION: 10 – 11:15a.m. FUNERAL: 11:15a.m. with military honors.
