Grace Nolt, 92, formerly of Reamstown, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2026. Born and raised in Schoeneck, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Minnie (Schware) Latshaw and the loving wife of Gilbert Nolt for 65 years until his passing in 2019.
Grace’s life was centered around caring for others. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her family, and watching over her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. Known to all as “Mama,” she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, supported, and loved. She cherished trips to Rehoboth and Bethany Beach, where she found joy in the ocean air and time spent with family. Shopping outings were a favorite pastime, as were Thursday night bingo games at the Denver Fire Hall. Grace also loved playing Uno, a simple pleasure that brought laughter and connection to many family gatherings. A woman of faith, Grace was a devoted member of St. Paul’s E.C. Church. Her legacy is one of kindness, steadiness, and a heart that never stopped giving.
Grace is survived by two children, Diane (Calvin) Ewell and Ann (Dale Jr.) Johnson; seven grandchildren, Scott, Steve, Mark, Kelly, Amie, Jamie, & Randy; 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Calvin Latshaw Jr. & Roy Latshaw. Along with her parents and husband, Grace is predeceased by her son, Gilbert E. “Bert” Nolt; and six siblings.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 4th at St. Paul’s E.C. Church, 46 E. Church St., Reamstown. Viewing: 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.; Funeral: 11:00 a.m.; Interment will immediately follow at Mellinger’s Union Cemetery, Shoeneck.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Paul’s E.C. Church, P.O. Box 275, Reamstown, PA 17567 or Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601.
