George W. Gahring, 78, formerly of Ephrata, passed away in Shillington on Friday, June 26, 2026. George was born in Oil City, Pa on July 22, 1947 to the late Merle L. and Helen T. (Sawatsky) Gahring Sr. 

Hr worked at a cigar factory and painted for many years. After retiring he worked at the Ephrata Laundry Mat. George enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his caregivers, friend Kristen Laqur and nephew, Michael Gahring.

George is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, son, and ten siblings.

Per George's personal request, there will be no services.
