Barbara A. Hertzog, 87, of Reinholds, passed away at home Sunday, May 31, 2026. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Russell R. and Dorothy (Kaucher) Claytor and the loving wife of Raymond Hertzog for 54 years until his passing in 2012.

Barbara grew up in Reading and worked in secretarial roles for Vanity Fair and Talbots in Wyomissing. Most of all, she was a devoted mother of six and a proud military wife. She enjoyed playing cards—especially pinochle—and loved trips to Hollywood Casino, where Mr. Cash Man was her favorite slot machine. She also enjoyed Atlantic City, cruises, and watching the Game Show Network. Time with family meant everything to her, and Williamsburg, where the family shared a timeshare, was her favorite place to be together. Known to all as “Grandma,” Barbara was funny, warm, and naturally humorous. She will be remembered for her love for family and the joy she brought to those around her.

Barbara is survived by five children, Ann Clark (Ray) of Sinking Spring, Carol Danser (Robert) of Wernersville, Timothy Hertzog (Rebecca) of Reinholds, Russell Hertzog (Esmeralda) of Chesapeake VA; Lisa Zettlemoyer (Bill) of Leesport; 24 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren; siblings, Ann Jones, Jane Hoverter, Ruth Vitalo, Shirley Pejokovich. She was predeceased by a son, Craig A. Hertzog, siblings, Russell Claytor, James Claytor; and her loving dog, Angie.

Services will be held at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens). Viewings: Mon., Jun 8th, 5-7p.m. and Tues. Jun 9th, 11a.m. -12p.m. Funeral Service: Tues., June 9th at 12:00p.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
