Remembering Ivan with Love... Ivan W. Stauffer, age 89, formerly of Martindale, Lancaster County, PA, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 10:52 pm in Farm Crest at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, PA. Born in West Earl Township, a son of the late Jacob S. and Magdalena (Wenger) Stauffer, he was the husband of Mary W. (Sensenig) Stauffer, also of Fairmount Homes. A member, former deacon and senior class Sunday school teacher of Blue Ball Church of the Brethren, he was an avid collector of antique tools and Avon bottles. In the 40's, he helped design and build a mobile grain grinding mill and feed mixer for use onsite at farms with A. W. Stauffer Machine Shop, and had worked over 34 years with J. B. Zimmerman Sons, Blue Ball, as an electrical appliance technician, retiring in 1987. Ivan was a charter member of Martindale Fire Co. and volunteered at the Ephrata Re-Uz-It Shop. Also surviving is a son, Marlon (Ruth A. Burkholder) Stauffer, Ephrata; daughters, Thelma S. (Carl A.) Brown, Reading ; Charlotte S. (Larry) Shaffer, East Earl; Adele S. Fisher, Denver ; and June S. (J. Richard) Groff, Denver; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Magdalena W. (Don) Wenrich, Mohnton; and brothers, William W. (Mary) Stauffer, Ephrata; and Mahlon W. (Arlene) Stauffer, Bainbridge, OH. He was predeceased by great-grandsons, Ryan Angel and Micah Clare Fisher; sisters, Mary Ann, Sarah, Miriam and Susanna Stauffer, Priscillia Brubacher, Martha Mattis and Rachel Brubaker; and brothers, Paul Jacob Stauffer. Viewings Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 10:00 from Blue Ball Church of the Brethren, Route 23, with Pastors Galen Weaver, Joel Hershey and Thomas W. Graham, III, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewings will be held Monday from 6 to 8 pm from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, and at the church from 9 to 10 am Tuesday.
