Remembering Jay... Born in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, Jay was a son of the late Harry and Anna (Slootsky) Millman. He and his wife, Joan (Swerdlow) Millman, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last August 12th. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, for 30 years, retiring in December of 1990. Jay was a 1950 graduate of Binghamton High School, Binghamton, New York. He was a member and past chancellor of the Knight of Pythias Lodge #155, Passaic, New Jersey. Since his retirement he was an active collector and dealer of antiques with booths at Renninger's Antique Market, Adamstown, and Adam's Antique Mall, Denver. He was also an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. In addition to Joan, he is survived by a daughter, Ann L., married to David A. Burns, Cumberland, Maryland; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer & Samara; and a sister, Esther Wiener, Delray Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Berardi, and a brother, Robert A. Millman. |
| You're Invited... | Services Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at 10:00 AM in King Solomon Cemetery, Dwas Line Road, Clifton, New Jersey. The Jewish Memorial Chapel of Clifton will be in charge of the arrangements in New Jersey. |
