Ruth
A. Weaver, 82, of 661 South Haws, Mesa, Arizona, formerly of
New Holland and Stevens, PA, died Sunday morning at 8:15 AM in
Mi Casa Nursing Center, Mesa, Arizona, where she resided one
month.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late
John and Mabel (Landergin) Newswanger, and was the wife of
Martin Z. Weaver for 62 years on November 11, 2001.
Prior to moving to Arizona in 1999, she was a member of
Hope United Methodist Church, Ephrata, and was a former member
of the New Holland Evangelical United Brethren Church where
she had been active in mission work.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters,
Margaret R. Klinger, Mesa, AZ; and Linda D. Weaver,
Jacksonville, FL; 3 sons, John D., married to Reinhild Weaver,
Bonn, Germany; Larry A. Weaver, Boise, Idaho; and Don R.,
married to Joyce Weaver, Lutz, FL; 9 grandchildren, and 10
great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert Martin Weaver, and a sister, Dorothy
Newswanger, preceded her in death.
Ruth's viewing will be held on Friday, April 26, 2002, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM from Hope United Methodist Church, 3474 Rothsville Road, Ephrata, PA. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM in the church with The Reverend Mary Jane Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in Springville Mennonite Cemetery, Ephrata Township, PA.
