Julia Texter, age 95, formerly of Vinemont, Berks County, died Thursday afternoon at 5:05 PM in Berks Heim, Bern Township, Berks County, where she resided for the past 5 years. Born in Nesquehoning, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Annie Milander.  Her husband, Harvey K. Texter, died April 27, 1991.  She was a member of Vinemont Community Lutheran Church, Berks County, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and Pianist.  Mrs. Texter was a grammar school teacher many years ago at the former Merkel’s School, Spring Township, Berks County.  She was a graduate of West Chester State Normal School, now West Chester University.  Surviving is a son, Richard D., married to Joan C. (Zimmerman) Texter, Sinking Spring, PA; 2 daughters, Jean E., married to Richard S. Bair, Reinholds, PA; and Elsie A., married to Donald L. Enck, Valparaiso, IN; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
