Anna
Schonour, 86, formerly of West Lawn, Berks County, died Friday
evening at 7:15 PM in the Denver Nursing Home, Stevens,
Lancaster County, where she resided since August 1996.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late
Stanislav and Rose (Wickowanicz) Rapak, and was the wife of
Irvin J. Schonour, also a resident of Denver Nursing Home,
for 65 years on August 8, 2001.
She was a member of Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church,
West Lawn, where she had been very active.
Many years ago she was employed by the Sturgis Pretzel
Company, Reading.
Mrs. Schonour enjoyed sewing and playing the organ for
friends and family.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a daughter,
Sylvia A. Leach, Stevens; 2 step-daughters, Betty Jane
Brannon, Byron, GA; and June R. Brossman, Robesonia, PA; 2
grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6
step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild;
also surviving are 2 sisters, Catherine, married to
Elmer Garman, Reading, PA; and Helen Shermot, Evansville, PA;
and 2 brothers, John, married to Helen Rapak, Reading, PA; and
Louis, married to Joanne Rapak, West Wyomissing, PA;
a sister, Mary Jones, preceded her in death. |

Viewing
& Service... Anna's viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM from our parlor with the service beginning at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Stephen E. Hollinger will officiate with burial following in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, Berks County, PA. It is requested that flowers not be sent.
