Kaxao Moua

     Kaxao Moua, 73, of 17 Mockingbird Drive, Denver, Lancaster County,formerly of Coatesville, died Wednesday morning at 11:50 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, PA, where he was a guest since February 22^nd.   Born in Xieng Khouang, Laos, he was a son of the late Chong Tou Moua and the late Youa Lee.  His wife, Chao (Yang) Moua, died June 22, 1993.  He was a member of the Hmong Alliance Church, Leola, where he had been active in the Alliance Men and the Senior Group of the church.  Kaxao was last employed by Terre Hill Concrete, Terre Hill, PA.  Surviving are 3 sons, Lopao, married to Neng (Vue) Moua; and Chapao, married to May (Yang) Moua; both of Denver, PA; and Vang, married to Mao (Lo) Moua, of Gordonville, PA; a daughter, Nhia, married to Chia Yang, Stevens, PA; 20 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kia Moua.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2002, at 10:00 AM from The Hmong Alliance Church, 9 South Hershey Avenue, Leola, PA 17540 with The Reverend Pao Her and The Reverend Chang-Nhia Kue officiating.  Interment will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA.  There will be no viewing at the church.
