Thomas
L. Lockner, 79, of 34 Hawk Valley Lane, Denver, Lancaster
County, formerly of Springfield, Delaware County; Long
Meadows, Massachusettes; and New Brunswick, New Jersey, died
Tuesday morning at 4:00 AM in the Essa Flory Hospice Center,
East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, where he was a
patient since December 28, 2002.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was a son of the
late Joseph G. and Mary R. (Kraus) Lockner, and was the
husband for 54 years of Irene E. (Demian) Lockner.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of
the American Legion of Springfield, Delaware County, PA.
Retiring in 1987, he was employed for many years as the
manager of operations & construction for Amtrak,
Philadelphia.
Lockner was a member of the Springfield Lions Club,
Delaware County, PA, current president of the Hawk Valley
Condominium Association, Denver, PA, and enjoyed Golfing and
Hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Mark J.,
married to Sandy L. (Maroon) Lockner, Milltown, NJ; a
daughter, Janice (Lockner) Holmwood-Dant, married to Kevin
Dant, Middletown, DE; 4 grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Joseph
Lockner, New Brunswick, NJ; and Richard Lockner, Melbourne,
FL. |

Viewing
& Services... Thom's viewing will be held from our funeral parlor on Friday, January 10, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and also on Saturday, January 11, 2003, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM with The Reverend William E. Hoch officiating. Final disposition will be private. The family has requested that rather than flowers, please remember Thom with contributions to Hospice of Lancaster County, Post Office Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
