Ella M. Keiffer

She loved gardening.

Ella M. Keiffer, age 87, formerly of Stevens, died early Thursday morning in the Denver Nursing Home where she resided since October 4^th.  She had last resided at Colonial Lodge, Denver.   Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Ella K. (Econroad) Cammauf.   She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ephrata, and was a former member of Carpenter’s Community Church, Talmage, Lancaster County, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader.  Retiring in 1960, she was employed for many years at the former A. N. Wolf Shoe Company, Denver; former Hesteco Manufacturing, Ephrata; and last for the former Ba-Ru-Be Co., Ephrata.  Ella is survived by a daughter, Romaine, wife of Ronald E. Lorah, Melbourne Beach, Florida; a son, Joseph L., husband of Lucy H. (Hiester) Becker, Stevens; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Melo Cammauf, Denver Nursing Home, Stevens; and Floyd married to Jane Cammauf, Ephrata.  A brother, Garson Cammauf, preceded her in death.
