Lamar Horning, 57, of 50 Gross Street, Ephrata, Lancaster
County, died Friday afternoon, May 7, 2004, at 3:05 PM in
Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West
Reading, where he was a guest for 1 day.
His death follow a one year illness.
Born
in Denver, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Joseph
B. and Anna (Ziemer) Horning.
He
had been employed by Whitaker Motors, Adamstown, as an auto
repairman and painter.
Horning
was an avid hunter & fisherman, a member of Cushion Peak
Rod & Gun Club, Reinholds, and a NASCAR fan.
He
is survived by his former wife, Mary Ann (Wanner) Horning,
Adamstown; a son, Richard Lee Horning, Adamstown; and a
daughter, Renae L. (Horning), married to Luis Delgado, West
Reading; a grandson; 3 sisters, Grace (Horning) Zimmerman,
Reinholds, PA; Susie (Horning), married to Clarence Weaver,
Mohnton, PA; and Mary Jane (Horning), married to Roy Haller,
Ephrata, PA; and a brother, Herbert, married to Mildred
(Weber) Horning, Reinholds, PA.

Visitation
& Service
The family will receive friends at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl, PA 17519, on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. The ceremony celebrating Richard's life will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chet Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. |
