Jane M. Hester, 60, of 8 Egret Circle , Denver , Lancaster County , PA , died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at 3:33 PM in the emergency room of Ephrata Community Hospital , Ephrata , PA.  Born May 26, 1944, in Lowell , MA , she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Clara M. (Dare) Mullin, and was the wife of Vernon B. Hester.  Retiring in 2003, she was employed for 26 years as a purchasing agent for CNH America, LLC, New Holland, PA.  Jane was of the catholic faith and enjoyed writing, reading and gardening.  She was a 1966 graduate of Regis College , Weston , MA , and received her teaching degree from Salem State College, Salem , MA .  She had also taken graduate studies at Wells College in New York .   Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Pierce C. L. Barnard, Ayer, MA; a step-daughter, Diana S. Zarb, Ypsilanti , MI ; 4 step-sons, Vernon B. Hester II, Seattle, WA; George C. Hester, Conroe, TX; David B. Hester and Gregory C. Hester, both of Canton, MI; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ann F. Carey, Westford, MA; and Brenda M. , wife of Carroll Fortmeyer, New Orleans, LA; 1 niece  and 4 nephews.  She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Adrienne M. Hester.

 A viewing will be held on Monday, March 7, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at our funeral home.

 Services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM, March 8,  2005, from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown, with a priest from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata,  officiating.  Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, East Cocalico Township , Lancaster County , PA.
