M. Gockley, 85, of Landis Homes, Lititz,

, formerly of Reamstown,

, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at 4:45 AM in Heart of
Lancaster Regional Medical Center,
Warwick
Township
,
Lancaster
County
, where she was a patient one day.
Born May 19, 1919, in Reamstown, she was a daughter of
the late Clarence and Edna (Hain) Fritz.
Her husband of 61 years, Charles W. “Chas” Gockley,
died April 10, 1999. A
member and former Sunday school teacher of
St. Paul
’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, she sang
alto for many years at various church functions.
Floretta was employed for many years at the former C
& B Trimming, Reamstown.
She and her husband had square danced and traveled
across the country and
Mexico
. She was a
tremendous baker of cakes and pies, crocheted afghans for
numerous people and was a loving mother, grandmother &
great-grandmother. Surviving
are a son, Dr. Gil, husband of Tanya (Tihansky) Gockley,
Rochester, NY; a daughter, Cynthia, wife of George Capewell,
Miami, FL; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, Shana,
Debra, Coleman and Jared; and 2 great-grandchildren,
Christopher and Casidhe; Also
a sister, June Schlack, Stevens, PA.
She was
preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Lorah, and 3 brothers,
Vernon, Willard and Gilbert Fritz.
