Ruth E. Geary

Ruth E. Geary, 81, of 33 Malsnee Road, Reinholds, Brecknock Township, Berks County, died in her residence Friday evening at 7:15 PM under the care of Berks Visiting Nurses Hospice.   Born in Lititz, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Joshua and Clara Herr (Shenberger) Rollman, and was the wife of Robert H. Geary.  She was a member and past financial secretary for Immanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, Adamstown, where she had been active with the children’s arts & crafts projects.     Retiring in 1974, Ruth was employed for 26 years as an engineer technician for RCA, at their former Lancaster location.     She was a 1939 graduate of Lititz High School.  She was a talented artist having painting styles of reverse glass, theorem, tin, folk arts & crafts and graining.  Her work with rug hooking & braiding and other needle work was also known in the area.  She had a keen interest in antiques and gardening, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, NJ.  Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Joyce (Rannels), married to Les Rickenbach, Leola, PA; and a son, Lynn, married to Carol Rannels, Reinholds, PA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
