Phoebe
J. Frankhouser, 73, of 60 Katie Drive, Ronks, Lancaster
County, died Tuesday evening at 10:08 PM in her residence
under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County.
Born in Swartzville, Lancaster County, she was a
daughter of the late Fred and Annie (Roether) Kilhefner, and
was the wife of Robert L. Frankhouser for 53 years on April 6th.
Retiring in 1993, she was employed for over 30 years by
M & M Garment, Bart.
Earlier she was employed by the former Walter W. Moyer,
Inc., Ephrata.
Mrs. Frankhouser was devoted to her family and enjoyed
cooking and housework. She was a 1944 graduate of
Ephrata High School.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 sons, Jerry
L. Frankhouser, Lancaster; and Gary G., married to Shirley
Frankhouser, Winter Springs, Florida; 2 grandchildren; 2
sisters, Allegra, married to Harry Steffy, Albuquerque, New
Mexico; and Betty, married to Leon Zimmerman, Limerick, PA;
and 4 brothers, John, married to Hannah Kilhefner, Amesville,
Virginia; Fred Kilhefner, Coral Springs, Florida; Harry,
married to Edith (Gehman) Kilhefner, Lititz, PA; and Ray
Kilhefner, Ephrata, PA.
Two brothers, William and H. Leo Kilhefner, preceded
her in death. |

Services... Will be held on Monday, August 6, 2001, at 11:00 AM from our parlors with The Reverend Jeffrey Lott officiating. It was Phoebe's request that the casket be closed. She will be buried in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, East Cocalico Township. |
