Henry F. Delasser

Henry F. Delasser, 72, of 505 West Mahanoy Avenue , Girardville, Schuylkill County , formerly of Denver , PA , died Monday morning at 12:45 AM in Ashland Hospital , Ashland , Schuylkill County , where he was a patient since July 30^th.    Born in Wilmington , Delaware , he was a son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Bredbenner) Delasser.   He was the husband of Verna V. (Mellen) Delasser.  His first wife, Dolores R. (Mellen) Delasser, died December 8, 1988.   He was employed for many years as a security guard for Renninger’s Antique Market of Adamstown, Lancaster County .   Henry was a member of Calvary Baptist Church , Frackville, Schuylkill County , PA.   Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Gary W., married to Cindy (Gibison) Delasser, New Castle, DE; a step-daughter, Debra, married to David Canavan, Girardville, PA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Geraldine (Delasser) Minor, Wilmington, DE.   He was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Guzman.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, August 26, 2004, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from our parlors with the service celebrating Henry's life beginning at 8:00 PM. 

Graveside services will be held from Gracelawn Memorial Park, Du Pont Parkway, New Castle, Delaware, on Friday morning, August 27, 2004, at 11:00 AM.
