Rosalie
Crawford, 65, of 31 Chestnut Hill Road, Stevens, Lancaster
County, died in her home Sunday morning at 6:07 AM under the
care of Hospice of Lancaster County.
Her death followed a brief illness.
Born
in East Cocalico Township, she was a daughter of the late
Phares K. “Pit” and Mary E. (Stricker) Steffy.
Her husband, Elser Ginder, died March 26, 2003.
She
was a member of Akron United Zion Church, Akron, Lancaster
County.
Retiring
in 1996, she was employed for 40 years as a baker by the
former Quinlan Pretzel Company, Denver, PA.
Rosalie
was a member of the Reamstown Fire Company, enjoyed yard sales
and was an avid vegetable and flower gardener.
Surviving
are a step-son, Elser, Jr., married to Barbara Ginder,
Reinholds, PA; 4 step-daughters, Judy (Ginder), married to
Paul H. Martin, Theresa (Ginder), married to Larry Donley, and
Darlene (Ginder), married to Dennis Hess, all of Lititz, PA;
and Carol (Ginder) Zug, Reinholds, PA.
Also
surviving, is a sister, Nancy, married to Lamar Seifrit,
Denver, PA; and 4 brothers, John, married to Alberta (DeLong)
Steffy, Reamstown, PA; Thomas, married to Bonnie (Althouse)
Steffy, Reamstown, PA; Richard, married to Cathy (Hartranft)
Steffy, Denver, PA; and Terry, married to Susan (Summers)
Steffy, Stevens, PA.
She
was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lillian & Sarah Steffy
and Merla Eshleman, and 2 brothers, Donald & Clarence
Steffy. |

Viewing
& Service
A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our funeral home and also on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the church. The ceremony celebrating Rosalie's life will be held from her church, Akron United Zion Church, 31 South 10th Street, Akron, PA 17501, on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2003, at 10:00 AM with her pastors, The Reverend Kenneth R. Redcay and The Reverend Clyde Martin, officiating. Burial will follow in Voganville Cemetery, Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Contributions...
