     Ellen L. Burkholder, 61, of 844 East Main Street , Ephrata, Lancaster County , died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at 3:50 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital following complication of diabetes.  Born May 28, 1944, in Lancaster , she was a daughter of the late Linsey and Beulah (Peffley) Daniels, and was the wife of Melvin H. Burkholder for 41 years.  She had been employed many years ago at the former Dutchmaid, Inc., Ephrata.  Ellen enjoyed gardening and was a drag racing enthusiast.  Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Deeann M. Burkholder, fiancé of Bryan J. Bernard, Denver , PA ; and Zoe L., wife of John E. Sakos, Phoenixville, PA; and several sisters and brothers.

 Memorial services will be held on Friday evening, July 15, 2005, at 7:00 PM from our parlors with The Rev. Robert Smock officiating.
