Ida Birkenbach, 84, of 129 Maple Street, Narvon, Lancaster County (Brecknock Township) died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 6:18 PM in Lancaster General Hospital where she was admitted from Beverly Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster, where she resided 3 weeks.  Born in Philadelphia , she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Berman, and was the wife of Edward Birkenbach for 57 years.  She was a homemaker most of her life.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Celia (Berman) Krawitz, Pennsacola , Florida .
