Elizabeth Ann Berry
Elizabeth A. “Betty” Berry, 59, of 1280 Crestview
Drive, Denver, Lancaster County, PA, died in her home at 12:02
AM Sunday morning following a brief illness.
Born in Wilkebarre, Luzerne County, PA, she was a
daughter of Elizabeth A. (Jones) Spear, Towson, Maryland, and
the late Samuel Spear.
She was the wife of Junior F. Berry for the past 28
years.
Formerly of Ridgely, Maryland, she was a member of the
Ridgely United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Berry was a graduate of Chesapeake College,
Easton, Maryland, and was employed for 10 years by the Easton,
Maryland, Police Department as an administrator and secretary
for the chief of police.
Since moving to Lancaster County she was employed as a
fashion consultant with Donecker’s of Ephrata.
“Betty” was an artist, enjoying various mediums
including oil and pastel painting and stenciling.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother is a
son, James E., married to Brenda (Galey) Stansbury, Churchton,
Maryland; a daughter, Elizabeth A. (Stansbury) Conner, Denton,
Maryland; a grandson; a sister, Audrey, married to Ted Fowler,
Kansas City, Kansas; and a brother, Samuel Spear, Towson,
Maryland;
also surviving is a step-daughter, Sandra (Berry)
Christian, Odenton, Maryland; and 6 step-grandchildren. |

& Memorial
Service... Betty's family will receive friends for a time of sharing memories and support on Saturday, December 8, 2001, from Noon until 2:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor William A. Sloat II officiating.
