We
Remember William G. Beck...
William
G. Beck, 62, of 1431 Bowmansville Road, Brecknock Township,
Bowmansville, Lancaster County, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:35
PM in his residence under the care of Hospice of Lancaster
County.
His death followed a brief illness.
Born
in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the
late William C. and Elsie B. (Jones) Beck, and was the husband
of Alice E. (Goodman) Beck for 43 years on June 20, 2002.
Retiring
in June, he was employed for 38 years as a telecommunications
engineer with Burle Industries, Lancaster.
He was also the Sunday engineer for the WIOV Radio
Station and worked for many years with the audio of “Shindig
in the Barn” and “Shindig at Cripple Creek”, country
music events.
He
played guitar, loved country music, and enjoyed flying model
airplanes, camping and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
Surviving
in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Nadine R., married to
Kevin Ache, Adamstown, PA; Linda K., married to Jeffrey
Skovira, Stevens, PA; and Jane R., married to Dale
Fredrickson, Ephrata, PA; 2 sons, William A. Beck,
Shillington, PA; and Mark C. Beck, Bowmansville, PA; also a
granddaughter he raised, Tabatha M., married to Richard
Updike, Harker Heights, TX; and 3 additional grandchildren
survive.
A
brother, Elmer C. Beck, preceded him in death. |

Viewing
& Funeral... William's viewing and funeral ceremony, at his request, will be held privately by his family. The Reverend John C. Grove will officiate from our parlor.
Interment will take place in Bowmansville Union Cemetery, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
