Arwilda M. Leid

Arwilda “Grandma” Leid, 94, formerly of East Cocalico Township , died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 11:20 PM in Lancaster General Hospital .  She resided at Pleasant View Retirement Community since 1996.  Born in Akron , a daughter of the late Elam J. and Anna E. (Smith) Haldeman, she was the 70 year wife of J. Stanley Leid who died September 3, 2003. A member and Sunday school teacher of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church , Denver , she loved to crochete and adored her family and friends.  She worked for Vanity Fair, New Holland, and Shober Meats, Denver .  Surviving are 4 daughters, Shirley L. (Harold E.) Weinhold, Manheim; Lucille M. (Charles) Hartranft, Ephrata; Peggy A. Leid, Ephrata; and Carolyn M. (Rev. Robert A.) Kramer, Denver ; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008, at 11:00 AM in Hoffer Auditorium of Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 N. Penryn Rd. , Manheim , PA 17545 , with Rev. Paul F. Keefer and Rev. Paul W. Smeltz officiating.  Burial in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville.  Viewings will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre of Reamstown and Monday one hour prior to the service.  Kindly omit flowers; contributions may be sent to the Endowment Fund of Pleasant View Retirement Community (address above).
