L. Hassler, 91, formerly of Adamstown, died Tuesday, June 10,
2008, at 4:00 PM in her
Spring
Township
,
Berks
County
, residence. Born
in Fritztown, a daughter of the late Harry and Sallie (Kelschner)
Weller, her husband, Harold Hassler, died April 23, 1982.
A member of
St. Paul
’s
Evangelical
Lutheran
Church
, Adamstown, she worked for Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown.
Alice loved flowers, shopping, her redwork stitchery
and watching TV, especially NASCAR, Phillies Baseball and game
shows, with her best friend, Betty Potts, grandson, wife and
son, Kevin, Sue and Brody.
Her family will miss her calls every
day to ask, “What are you making for supper?”
Surviving are 3 daughters, Janet M. Keener,
Shillington
,
PA
; Dolores F, wife of Paul A. Gantert, Jr., Stevens, PA; and
Caroline A., wife of Richard W. Cox, Sinking Spring, PA; 13
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4
great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Weller,
Leesport, PA. She
was also predeceased by a son, Donald Richard Hassler; 2
great-grandchildren; a sister, Annie Weitzel; and a brother,
Earl Weller.
