Muriel Barns, 94, formerly of Sayre, Bradford County , died January 15, 2008, in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata , PA.  Born in Sayre, a daughter of the late Leon and Sally (Marcy) Palmer, her husband, Carl Barns, died in 1982.  She was a graduate of Sayre High School and of the Methodist faith.  Muriel was a switchboard operator for the Elmira , NY , telephone company; worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad, and last for Glen L. Martin Co., Baltimore. Surviving are nieces and nephews.

Private inurnment will be in Tioga Point Cemetery , Athens , PA.   Details were preplanned with Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown.
