Louis F. "Lou" Cassel, Jr.

Louis F. “Lou” Cassel, Jr., 86, formerly of Reading , died January 11, 2008, in Laurel Center, Hamburg. Born in Reading , a son of the late Louis F., Sr., and Flora R. (Texter) Cassel , he retired from Met-Ed, now First Energy Corp., Reading.  He was a graduate of Reading High School and a World War II Army Air Force veteran.  “Lou” loved his dog, “Spiro”.     Surviving is a nephew, Robert H. Deysher, Summit , NJ ; a niece, Elizabeth L. Hooper, Maine ; and grandniece, Nyree Deysher.  He was predeceased by a wife, Ann, a long-time companion, Betty (Wise) Potteigher, 2 brothers and a sister.

Services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 2:00 PM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with viewing from 1-2 PM.  Burial in Bowmansville Union Cemetery , Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, PA.
